Mancan Staffing is seeking a Material Handler starting at $11.00 at a local facility in Newell WV. Must be able to work Monday – Friday 7am – 4pm, some weekends may be required.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Material Receiving: Unload, record, unpack, inspect, report damages, and store all received goods following set procedures within the Receiving Department.
Package Management: Check in, document, and deliver packages to relevant departments in a timely and professional manner. Process all corresponding paperwork.
Inventory Control: Conduct monthly and as-needed physical inventory counts to ensure accurate stock levels.
Workspace Maintenance: Maintain neat and clean work areas daily to ensure a safe and organized environment.
Clerical Tasks: Perform computer and clerical duties, including updating Purchase Orders (POs) and managing Inventory Requisitions.
Product Preparation and Delivery: Prepare and deliver requested products based on Inventory Requisitions submitted by end-users.
Adaptability: Undertake any other duties as assigned to support operational needs.
Qualification Requirements:
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), maintaining a polite and neat appearance.
Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented manner.
Proficiency in using tools and equipment, including hand trucks and forklifts.
Capability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
Availability for all shifts and holidays.
Must possess and maintain a clear, valid driver’s license.
Minimum age requirement of 21.
Successful completion of a background investigation and drug screening.
Educational and/or Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred but not necessary).
One year of warehouse experience is preferred.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Forklift certification is helpful; training will be provided if necessary.
Other Skills/Abilities:
Ability to adapt and learn quickly.
Strong attention to detail.
Organizational and time management skills.
Physical Demands:
Ability to stand for prolonged periods.
Capability to push, pull, kneel, twist, bend, carry, and lift up to 45 lbs.
Work Environment:
Will be exposed to working in a noisy, smoke/secondary smoke environment and seasonal elements.
